Custom order email subject and body (FS9-4059)

You can now write the subject line and message for order emails sent to each distributor branch, and merge in details from the order. The body supports formatting such as bold text and lists.

  • Merge fields: Order ID, Customer Reference Number, Customer ID, Customer Name, Distributor Account Number, plus any Related ID set up for your company.
  • Click a merge field to insert it where your cursor is, in either the subject or the body.
  • A hint under the subject suggests keeping it between 30 and 70 characters so it displays well in most inboxes.
  • These merge fields replace the Order ID and Customer Reference Number tick boxes. Existing settings keep working until you change them.

To set it up: Admin → Distributors → select the branch → click the Send Via Email order output → edit the Subject and Body → Save.

Fixed price import for deals (FS9-3944)

You can now load fixed prices into a deal from an Excel or CSV file instead of entering them one by one.

  • The file needs a product ID column and a price column. You'll see the first 10 rows and choose which column is which.
  • Prices for products already on the deal are updated, and new products are added to the deal and its product set.
  • Prices are rounded to 4 decimal places.

Custom data exports through the Field Sales API (FS9-4080)

Integration partners and your IT team can now pull custom data sets out of Field Sales through the Field Sales API, using the same sign-in as other API calls. Large exports are returned in pages.

  • Order acknowledgements in the updated Descartes format are now read correctly, so order statuses update as expected. (FS9-3889)
