The below article will guide you through the differences when creating a new deal using the new Delivery Date option, released in Field Sales R35

1. Login to Administrator

2. Go to Ordering -> Deals

3. Click on Create a new deal

4. In the section titled "Delivery Dates", change the default option of "Available for" "Any Date" to "Specific Date Range".

5, Set the Delivery Date - Start Date and Delivery Date - End Date

6. Continue creating the deal as normal, ensuring visibility and discounts have been configured

How it works

If the "Delivery Dates" section of a deal has had a "Specific Date Range" set, when a user places an order, the Delivery Date criteria must be met - in additional to the deal criteria - for a discount \ deal to apply.

For example:

"Christmas Deal 2025" is setup as follows:

- "Delivery Date" "Specific Date Range" is set of 01/12/2025 to 31/12/2025

- Order 12 assorted of any "Candy Bar", get 20% off

Example 1

Joe visits a customer on July 15, 2025 and places an order. Joe orders 12 Candy Bars, with a delivery date of July 16, 2025. The discounts from the "Christmas Deal 2025" ARE NOT applied because the delivery date is not within the specified deal period.

Example 2

Tina visits a customer on July 15, 2025 and places an order. Tina orders 12 Candy Bars, with a delivery date of December 16, 2025. The discounts from the "Christmas Deal 2025" ARE applied because the minimum order criteria has been met (12 units) AND the delivery date is within the specified deal period.
