- Click on System Config > Product Config from the left menu.
- Click on Create New Field.
This will load popup screen.
- In the Field Types drop down menu, select the Product Field Type you wish to add.
The types of fields Perenso offer are:
- Structure: A Structure Field can be used to group your products together in a hierarchal manner. This can be used for things like category groups which have many brands under it.
- Group: A Group Field can be used to group similar Products together. This can be used for things like Pack Size
- Related ID: These are used to store other identifiers against a Product that are used to interface with external systems. For example, if you are synchronising your Accounts with your ERP system, this will be the Account's identifier in the ERP system
- Custom – Text: A Text Custom Field allows you to enter a single line of Text up to a maximum of 255 characters
- Custom – Multi Line Text: A Multi Line Text Custom Field allows you to enter 1 or more lines of text in a 'Notes' style format
- Custom – Number: A Number Custom Field allows you to enter a number, with or without any decimal places
- Custom – Date: A Date Custom Field allows you to enter a Date.
- Custom – Pick from List: A Pick from List Custom Field can be used to select from a list of options 
- Enter in a Description.
If you want the product field to be based on an existing field, tick on the check box Base this Field on and select the product field.
- Click Add Field.
The Field Update screen will display.
- The Product Field Type should be added successfully.
