1. Product Fields.
A field is a place to keep data relating to your products.
For example, Product Description or Product ID are fields.

Additional Fields are used to store other identifiers against a product and are used to interface with external systems.
For example, if you are synchronising your products with your ERP system, this will be the product's identifier in the ERP system.
In most cases you would require the field to accept 1 identifier only. If you need the field to store more than 1 reference, then when creating the Additional Field, set it to allow Multiple Identifiers.

  2. Product Groups.
Products Groups are useful in Perenso for organising your products and for reporting.
It also creates convenience with setting up criteria for a deal so that discounts can apply to certain product groups or categories, rather than selecting products individually.

There are 2 types of groups in Perenso:
    1. "Groups" - These are single level groupings for products
    2. "Structures" - These are multi level groups which are related (eg. Country > Category > Brand)

A Group Field can be used to group your products together. This can be used for things like Brands.

  3. Distributor Identifiers.
Distributors may use their own ID or SKU number to identify your products in their system.
Perenso has the ability to swapout the Product ID number and instead use the Distributor's Identifier in orders being sent to them should they need it.

  4. Template Export.
You can generate an excel file that contains a column for each field you have specified in the previous steps.
Once the file has been generated, open the file in Excel and populate each row with your own data.

  5. Product Import.

  6. Product Images.
Product images, marketing material or presentations are referred to as Content in Perenso. Content is displayed in various areas of the Perenso Field Sales app.
For example, you can display images of your products in the Order work item where Users can show customers how products look.

If you do not have any product related content to attach, you have successfully added your products into Perenso and can move on to Adding Price Lists.

If you have content to attach to your products, upload and link them.
Images must be in JPG, PNG or GIF format. You can upload up to 30 files at once. If you have more than 30 files then simply press the "Clear Complete" button after each sitting to continue onto the next batch.

Congratulations, you can move on to adding Price Lists.
